Bulk Millet Flakes!
Despite being a carbohydrate, millet is high in protein. It is also known as a “nutri-cereal” because it is high in fibre, several B vitamins and manganese and may be beneficial to arthritis sufferers and improving bone health.
Millet flakes are naturally slightly sweet in flavour. Soak overnight and cook in water, broth, or your milk of choice for a creamy porridge consistency. Better yet, add millet to other flakes such as buckwheat or oat, to create your own high protein porridge or muesli base.
